Japan's Ghana chocolate is made by Lotte in Japan and unlike Korea's Ghana chocolate, [3] it uses cocoa butter by using the microglind method. I actually didn`t mind the taste so much as the texture, and I ended up giving the rest of that bar away. I came across you blog when I was looking for an explanation as to why golden tree gets so hard when it “crosses the ocean”. As per the description on Lotte’s site, Ghana Milk Chocolate is made by pouring liquid chocolate into the molds (24 block-shaped molds).Aside from these regular flavors, Lotte created delicious combinations, which include a Muscat with chocolate and a biscuit with chocolate. Just like when u visit the world of Coca Cola in Atlanta they have various taste of Coke from around the world, we should maintain that uniqueness in the way people produce their products. I just came back from Ghana and this chocolate is pure and delicious, with only 5 ingredients or so; and the natural flavor and texture of Golden Tree products are extraordinary. The chocolate is wrapped in aluminum foil to preserve the chocolate bar and protect it from the elements. I have been around the world and taste lot of chocolate stuff…all the rest are full of chemicals and sugary content less in what you are expecting to get from it.

I could never have got through without the rich, dark (but not bitter), mouth-filling, heavenly dark Ghana. I always miss golden tree chocolates when i travel because i feel all other chocolates excepting one (not sure if i can promote that chocolate here) lack the awesome taste golden tree has. That’s when you can experience I know that the friend from Ghana is right about the texture being different in Ghana versus overseas. Every solid ingredient that goes into the Ghana chocolate is micro-grinded until they’re about 1/40th the size of the cacao nibs.I have been visiting Ghana for the past 2 years and will definately taking some Golden Tree products home to South Africa. All milk powder (domestic production, New Zealand production), cocoa butter, sugar, vegetable oils and fats, lactose, milk, etc.
