Unlike so many other books, it highlights the intersectional nature of witchcraft, and a branch of witchcraft that is for EVERYONE.

I also don’t have any problems with this book being focused around women because it gives a good reason why without dismissing men or nonbinary people who might also be interested, and it doesn’t make any sexist or TERFy comments. If you would like to read another quirky book surrounding witches then I would recommend The Magic Book of Cookery by Danaan Elderhill. However, what I was met by was a book that explores the origins of witchcraft, teaches you how to dress and act like a witch and contains spells ranging from accepting compliments to conjuring up a relaxing Netflix binge. There are also a few simple rituals in this section for banishing the pressure to be feminine, or promoting self-care.I think teenage me would have gotten more out of this book but it still gave me some things to think about and some good laughs.
